Upstairs there are two extremely well-presented bedrooms, the perfect place to retire to at the end of an exhausting day of discovering the delights of Dorset; choose from a stylish double and an elegant twin with a shower room and a bathroom completing the accommodation.

Waverley boasts some fantastic outside space with a decked veranda which has a fabulous seating area with views over the town of Lyme Regis. Steps lead down to an enclosed courtyard with table and chairs, where guests can spend some quality time alfresco, eating, drinking and soaking up the vistas.

Talking of views, Lyme Regis is just a short walk away and offers a maze of narrow streets which are home to a great selection of independent shops, galleries, cafés, and restaurants. There are fantastic family-friendly beaches here, walks along the Jurassic coast and even a museum and an aquarium, both of which are well worth a visit. Other family attractions in the area which are popular with visitors include Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, Seaton Tramway and Axe Valley Wildlife Park. Take a Boat tour or fishing trip from the famous Cobb harbour and nearby towns such as Charmouth and Axminster or the pretty fishing village of Beer are worthy of a visit.

The living areas consist of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, Smart TV with DVD, and a woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a doble and a twin along with a bathroom, and a ground-floor shower room with hairdryer. Outside there is a decked veranda with furniture, an enclosed courtyard with furniture, and permit parking in Woodmead Halls long stay car park. One well-behaved small/medium fog welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. You'll find a shop in 0.1 miles, a pub in 0.2 miles and the beach in 0.3 miles. Highchair and travel cot available (please bring own bedding). WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Waverley is a wonderful base for exploring Dorset as a family. Note: Children should take care outside with the steps leading down from the veranda to the courtyard; please bear this in mind when booking. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am. Please note that the property is located on a quiet pedestrian only lane so while cars can not pull up outside, there is a trolley in the property to make moving your bags from the car to the front door much easier. Do take care as the lane is on a hill. As with many characterful properties, there are slopped ceilings in the bedroom with restricted head room in some parts.We have been contacted by the local council concerning essential works taking place within the car park from the 3rd Feb for approximately 3-4 weeks weather dependent. There will be a dedicated area for cars that have a parking permit to display, however please note that EV charging will not be available during this time but Charmouth Road Car Park and Holmbush Car Park chargers will be fully operational.
